SIMPLE, BUT SIGNIFICANT
About Assembly Haus
A boutique interior design firm established in 2021 and located in Los Angeles, we offer expertise and solutions that can be tailored to residential and boutique commercial spaces. From conception to completion, we strive to create a communicative and transparent process with our clients that is inspiring, collaborative and highly organized.
We approach design with a strong understanding of how your surroundings impact your health, behavior and performance. We want to create a functional space that will nourish the body and mind. Good design results from a customized and collaborative process. According to the EPA, the average person spends 90% of their time indoors. Your home being the one place you are free to design in accordance with your own wants and needs; it should be authentic to who you are and not only enhance your experience, but optimize your lifestyle.
We achieve this by recognizing a client’s aspirations, needs and idiosyncrasies; using them as a guiding principle in putting a space together. With an acute aesthetic eye, we design spaces that are warm, personal and easy to live in, while taking into consideration the integrity of the architecture. In our design, we use mindful layers of texture, color, natural materials and classic elements. With thoughtful curations, artisanal goods and novel details, we tastefully merge the past with the present to create a refined look that also feels fresh. Eliminating the unnecessary, we keep it simple, but significant. Quality over quantity. Timeless over ephemeral. Avoiding the homogeneity that can result from globalized mass production, to create moments in the home that tell a story.
About Karley
A Los Angeles based interior designer & founder of Assembly Haus. Born in the Nevada desert and rooted in California, Karley has always been interested in how our environment shapes our lives and understands design enhances it. Drawing inspiration from her Swedish roots and love for European design, she incorporates California simplicity with patterns, textures and natural elements, to create a timeless modernity style that is “simple, but significant.” Preferring an earth-toned palette, she incorporates an amalgam of primitive with modern, textures and layers to create rooms with character and homes with a soul.
She’s immersed herself in art and design since a very young age and has always loved to create. Since she can remember, she has always had enthusiasm for making things more beautiful than the way she found it. It was destined that she would be in the creative field. After receiving a Fine Arts degree in Interior Design at FIDM in Los Angeles, CA she hit the ground running and hasn’t stopped. Over her ten years of experience, she has worked for notable designers, brands and showrooms in the industry. Amongst a wide variety of projects, across a spectrum of styles, sizes, phases and budgets spanning from Los Angeles to New York City. She merges her education, strong work ethic and unique experiences to bring fresh ideas and a practical approach to create an unparalleled experience for clients, tending to every detail. She’s meticulous when it comes to sourcing and loves to keep it fresh. She’s always on the hunt to find new sources from furniture, textiles to artisan crafted goods. She enjoys seeking out rare finds from vintage markets, boutiques and galleries and strives to support local and independent artisans.
When she’s not designing, Karley enjoys traveling, painting and running wild outdoors. She encompasses herself in all things art, design, and architecture. She focuses strongly on a natural and salubrious lifestyle and understands the importance of having a healthy body and mind and transpires this ethos into people’s surroundings.

Whether it’s a commercial or residential building, we embrace a collaborative process and love the synthesis of the people involved in the design process: the clients, architects, designers, artisans, contractors, wood workers, and the many other talented collaborators.
